Does University of British Columbia accept French A: Literature HL?

French A HL has two different outcomes at UBC (don't mix them up):

The nuance that actually matters: when UBC lists a named course (e.g., FREN_V 311), that's closest to specific credit. When it lists something like "FREN_V 3rd-year level", that's general/unassigned credit — valuable for total credits, but not always a guaranteed substitute for a particular required course code in a major/minor plan. Actionable strategy: If you plan to continue French at UBC, treat this primarily as placement: map your next step using the calendar prerequisites and (where applicable) placement guidance.
